This is the last Will and Testament of me George Fitzroy of Grafton Regis in the County of Northampton I appoint my two sons George Robert Fitzroy and Francis Fitzroy Executors of this my Will and Testament I bequeath to my beloved wife Charlotte Frances Bona Fitzroy for one year next after my death, the Right (so far as I have the power to grant the same) to reside without paying any rent (which must be paid by my residuary legatee ) in my present residence at Grafton Regis and for the same period the use and enjoyment in such residence but not elsewhere of such wines and consumable articles as she requires and also of my plate linen and household furniture I bequeath to my said wife Charlotte Frances Fitzroy The following specific Articles my Brequel Watch The Blue China Dinner Service the best four plated dish Covers the Silver Coffee Pot Silver Fish Knife Silver Saucepan & Lid and large Silver Strainer also Time Piece over Library Chimney Piece I also bequeath to my said Wife Charlotte Frances Bona Fitzroy the sum of One hundred pounds sterling to be paid to her within one Calendar Month next after my decease for her immediate use I bequeath to my said son George Robert Fitzroy my old Gold watch left to me by my Mother in 1810 The right of first selecting one hundred volumes of my books and to my son Francis Fitzroy the small Gold watch which belonged to my son Charles Vane Fitzroy and next right of selecting Two hundred Volumes of my Books and to my daughter Louisa Elizabeth the third choice of selecting Three hundred Volumes of my books also the Blue China Breakfast Service the Gift of her Aunt Caroline Harris also all the china (not Earthenware) which I was in possession of before my late Marriage All pictures paintings and drawings not in Frames to be divided between my Wife Sons and daughter should any question arise as to any of the specific bequest herein contained such question to be absolutely determined by my Executors I give and bequeath all my property estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever of or to which I shall die possessed or entitled to in possession reversion remainder or expecting (subject to the aforesaid bequest) unto my said Executors upon Trust there out to pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and subject thereto upon trust to raise and pay there out to my said Son Francis Fitzroy for one Year from the day of my decease one hundred pounds allowance I make him of Two hundred pounds by two half Yearly payments and to my said daughter Louisa Elizabeth Fitzroy for one Year from the day of my decease one hundred pounds the allowance I make her in two half Yearly payments And upon further trust to pay thereout to my son Francis Fitzroy for his own and absolute use the sum of seven hundred pounds sterling And further to set apart appropriate such part of my personal estate as shall be equivalent in value to the sum of Five thousand pounds sterling and to stand possessed thereof upon the trust hereafter declared And I direct that my said Executor shall stand possessed of such part of my personal estate as shall be set apart or appropriated as equivalent in value to the sum of Five thousand pounds upon trust to continue the same upon any existing investment or at any time to call in and dispose of such investments and to invest the proceeds thereof upon Government or real security or upon any other security or investment recognized upon the London Stock Exchange and to pay the actual annual income of the said Trust monies and promises unto my said daughter Louisa Elizabeth Fitzroy during her natural life And if she shall marry the same to be for her separate use and without power of Anticipation And upon her decease then as to the Capital of the last mentioned Trust monies and premises upon trust to pay and divide the same unto and equally between all the children or the only child as the case may be of my said daughter who shall live to attain the age of Twenty Years with power if at the decease of my said daughter she shall leave any Child a Minor for my Trustees or Trustee for the time being to apply the income and also any part of the Capital of the presumptive share of any such Child for his or her Maintenance education or preferment in the World notwithstanding his or her Minority And upon further trust if there shall be no Child of my said daughter or being such and no such child shall attain the age of Twenty then to pay and divide the said last mentioned trust monies and premises or so much as shall not have been applied under the last mentioned power unto and equally between my said sons George Robert Fitzroy and Francis Fitzroy I George Fitzroy of Grafton Regis also bequeath to my late Groom Henry Blunt the sum of Twenty five pounds and to my Keeper William Paragreene if in my service at the time of my decease the sum of Eighteen pounds All which legacies respectively I direct shall be paid or appropriated within six Calendar Months next after my death And as to all the residue of my property estate and effects of whatsoever nature the same may be or consist I bequeath the same unto my said Son George Robert Fitzroy absolutely I revoke all former Wills and Testamentary instruments by me made In testimony whereof I have hereto set my hand this second day of November One thousand eight hundred and eighty
Signed and declared by the said George Fitzroy the Testator as and his last Will and Testament in the presence of us present at the same time who in his presence at his request and in presence of each other have herewith subscribed our names as Witnesses

Proved at Northampton the 1st day of March 1883 by the Oaths of George Robert Fitzroy and Francis Fitzroy the sons the Executors to whom Administration was granted
The Testator George Fitzroy was late of Grafton Regis in the County of Northampton Esquire and died on the 4th day of January 1883 at Grafton Regis aforesaid
